ABSTRACT
The emergency protection system efficiency and the volume reactor core power distribution for an equilibrium fuel cycle of VVER-1000 were studied. Calculations were performed with use of MCU and BIPR-7A program codes for 3D full-scale model of VVER- 1000 reactor without feedbacks with fuel burnup distributed in the reactor volume. Conclusions about deviations of the results obtained with use of the MCU program code from the results obtained by the BIPR-7A program code were drawn.
