ABSTRACT
Joint AER Working Group A on „Improvement, extension and validation of parameterized few-group libraries for VVER-440 and VVER-1000“ and AER Working Group B on „Core design“ twenty second meeting was hosted by VÚJE a.s. in Modra-Harmónia, Slovakia, during the period of April 14 to 16, 2014.
In total 15 participants from 10 member organizations took part in the meeting and 11 papers were presented.
Objectives of the meeting of WG A are: Issues connected with spectral calculations and few- groups libraries preparation, their accuracy and validation.
Presentations were devoted to some aspects of transport and diffusion calculations, and especially to the benchmark dealing with VVER-440 core periphery power tilt.
M. Gren presented paper “Two Group Constants Generation for ANDREA Code Using SCALE System”, Gy. Hegyi (co-authors E. Temesváry, Cs. Maráczy and G. Hordósy) spoke about “Some Additional Comments on the Results of the VVER440 Benchmark“, P. Mikoláš added “Remarks to the Full Core Benchmark“. P. Mikoláš (co-author J. Švarný) also spoke about “VVER In-Core Self-Powered Neutron Detector Calculation Benchmark – Partial Solution”, then I. Pós (co-authors T. Parkó and S. P. Szabó) presented paper “Study of Pin- wise Models“, finally J. Bajgl supplied “Remarks to Subcritical Multiplication Calculations Using Different MOBYDICK Code Options”.
During the meeting were discussed questions connected with the benchmark solution and, among others, future activities, which are also shortly described in the end of the paper.
