SIMULATION OF THE EXPERIMENT ON STUDYING XENON OSCILLATIONS AT KALININ NPP, UNIT 3
18th Symposium of AER on VVER Reactor Physics and Reactor Safety (2008, Eger, Hungary)
Core Surveillance and Monitoring
Abstract
The report deals with the results of simulating the experimental studies of the reactor plant behaviour and the core characteristics in the xenon transients caused by a small and large decrease in the reactor power and also a small increase thereof. The experimental studies were performed in the end of burn-up (T??? ? 244 eff. days) of the first fuel loading at Kalinin NPP, Unit 3. A comparative analysis of the testing data and the results of neutron- physical calculations was made with the use of code package SAPFIR_95 & RC.
