Abstract

The problem of construction 3D grids for modelling internal structure of volume of the WWER type rector which is used for the analysis 3D distributions of coolant parameters is considered. The grid which, being expansion of cellular structure of an active zone, passes through all reactor volume in both directions from an active zone is base hexagonal with boundary elements of various type. The basic emphasis is done on detailed modelling of all reactor inside elements: inlet mixing camera with down camera, under core space, an active zone, the different parts of core assemblies, directing channels SUZ, the block of protective pipes, etc. The grid is a basis for automatic construction of objects and communications between them for the block of initial data of system code ATHLET/BIPR.
