Specific features of accounting for probable power excursions at periphery FAs, which are caused by FA gaps behaviour in the course of VVER-1000 operation
The paper discusses the way for accounting the uncertainties of calculated VVER-1000 rod
powers caused by the changes of fuel assembly shape in the course of operation. The trouble
is that the gap affected power distribution does not obey the normal distribution law, while the
dispersion does not influence the total uncertainty in power distribution. The paper proposes
the methods for accounting the uncertainty and gives the exercise.
