ABSTRACT
Introduction of the article is focused on a short ALLEGRO core characterization and fuel type description. Calculations of ALLEGRO subassemblies by HELIOS 2.1 code is shown. Three fuel sub-assemblies were modelled in infinite lattice by HELIOS 2.1 – starting MOX assembly, ceramic UPuC sub-assembly and ceramic UPuC sub-assembly with thermal insulant. The super- cell model of MOX core with experimental ceramic sub-assemblies is listed at the end of this presentation and it consists of six MOX sub-assemblies and one ceramic UPuC sub-assembly situated in the centre. Multiplication factor for infinite lattice kinf was followed in all of calculated cases. All of analyses in the paper were inspired by an active participation at GoFastR project – component of FP7 EU.
