Sessions and meals

Generally there are two sessions of presentations in the morning and two in the afternoon (except Thursday and Friday). Common buffet lunches are offered by the Symposium, the dinners (except the Gala dinner on Thursday) are not organized. If needed, we will help you to find some suitable place to eat.

The total length of each contribution is limited to 25 minutes – consider 15-20 minutes for each presentation, so that 5-10 minutes are left for subsequent discussion.

The presentations should be prepared in PDF or Microsoft PowerPoint formats. The computer and overhead projector will be available in the conference room.

If possible, please submit your presentation through your conference registration account (edit paper submissions) at latest the day before your talk. If not, you can hand over your presentation before your session as well.

The papers prepared according to the paper format instructions should be submitted at latest on October 10, 2018 through your conference registration account (edit paper submissions) at the symposium web page. Please obey this deadline so that your paper could be included in the proceedings.

Electronic version of the proceedings will be available at the end of the conference. The printed version should be available as usual by the end of the year.

Getting to Olomouc

Public transport

The connections by public transport in the Czech Republic can be easily found through the web pages jizdnirady.idnes.cz. You can switch to English/German version in the bottom right corner of the main search window.

From Prague, the fastest and most comfortable connection is by train. There are 3 train companies České dráhy, Leo Express and Regiojet

We would recommend the Pendolino trains run by České dráhy and any trains from the other companies. The train tickets can be purchased online.

By car

We are not aware of any unusual problem. Parts of the freeway from Praha to Brno are under reconstruction, which may cause delays during the rush hours.

Getting around Olomouc

Olomouc is relatively small town, so most of the transport can be done on foot. You can check and plan the itineraries using the map site mapy.cz

Information on how to get to the hotel can be found on the hotel web.

Useful information is on the web related to public transport in Olomouc.
